Ohio lawmaker refuses to put on masks as a result of faces are the ‘likeness of God’

An Ohio lawmaker says he refuses to put on a masks to guard himself regardless of the coronavirus pandemic as a result of he belies that  faces are the “likeness of God.”


Republican State Rep. Nino Vitale argued Monday towards Gov. Mike DeWine’s suggestion to put on face coverings in public on non secular grounds.


“That is the best nation on earth based on Judeo-Christian Ideas,” Vitale stated in a Fb video. “A type of rules is that we're all created within the picture and likeness of God. That picture is seen probably the most by our face. I can't put on a masks.”


He continued saying that it was vital to him to have the ability to see others’ faces and not using a masks obscuring them.


“After we consider picture, can we consider a chest or our legs or our arms? We consider a face,” Vitale stated. “That’s the picture of God proper there, and I wish to see it in my brothers and sisters.”


DeWine issued an order for face masks to be worn in public however rescinded the mandate final week following backlash.


The governor acknowledged Sunday that the order went “too far,” saying that the federal government can’t management the general public’s habits.

DeWine stated although he has walked again the order, he continues to advocate Ohioans put on face coverings in retail shops.
