Joe Biden is demanding justice for the unarmed black jogger who was shot to loss of life by a gaggle of white males in Georgia — calling it a cold-blooded “homicide.”
“The video is evident: Ahmaud Arbery was killed in chilly blood,” the presidential hopeful insisted of the 25-year-old jogger’s stunning caught-on-camera taking pictures.
“My coronary heart goes out to his household, who deserve justice and deserve it now,” Biden wrote on Twitter late Tuesday.
“It's time for a swift, full, and clear investigation into his homicide.”
Arbery’s loss of life in Brunswick in Feb. 25 sparked outrage this week after footage of the taking pictures was launched.
A grand jury is about to listen to proof and weigh expenses towards father and son Gregory and Travis McMichael, who reportedly stated they had been on the lookout for a burglar after they noticed Arbery working.
“These males had been vigilantes, they had been a posse they usually carried out a contemporary lynching in the course of the day,” insisted S. Lee Merritt, an legal professional for Arbery’s household.
Biden was joined by different politicians outraged after seeing the video, together with former rival to be the Democratic candidate within the 2020 election, Bernie Sanders.
“The boys who murdered Ahmaud Arbery should be held accountable and there should justice for Ahmaud’s household,” Sanders tweeted.
“There isn't any doubt in my thoughts that Ahmaud can be alive at present if he had been white.”
