Dad now suspect in stabbing of 6-year-old daughter in NYC, police say

A father who advised police that muggers stabbed his 6-year-old daughter on a Decrease East Aspect avenue is now accused of constructing up the story — and of turning the knife on her himself, police sources advised The Submit.

The dad, Gia Pan, 55, has been charged with tried manslaughter, reckless endangerment, assault and endangering the welfare of a minor, the sources mentioned.

He remained in custody pending arraignment Thursday evening, whereas his daughter remained in Bellevue Hospital recovering from surgical procedure, the sources mentioned.

The daddy had initially advised police two males had accosted him and his daughter at round 12:30 a.m. Thursday close to Monroe and Pike streets.

He had claimed the thieves stabbed his daughter and made off along with his jewellery and a bank card earlier than fleeing.
