Restaurateur Keith McNally accuses artistic director Marcus Teo of a dine-and-dash


Keith McNally was accused of libel after wrongly suggesting a artistic director skipped out on his test.


The legendary restaurateur posted an image on Instagram of Marcus Teo, who works with luxurious way of life manufacturers, with the caption, “Fortunate Strike in happier days. The great trying gentleman within the picture ran out on his $100 cheque. The f–king bastard.”


This was information to Teo, who instructed Web page Six, “I woke as much as mates texting me … saying, ‘What the f - - ok! Why did you run out on Keith McNally?’ I don’t know him. He took the picture off of my [Instagram] web page.”


Jeepney restaurant founder Nicole Ponseca even chimed in on the publish and requested, “What’s the grounds for slander or libel?”


Teo posted his receipt from his February go to to the restaurant to show that he’d paid, whereas those that dined with him disputed McNally on Instagram. McNally lastly apologized for what he stated was a “joke” and edited the caption to learn, “The great trying gentleman within the picture tipped $100 and had the servers swooning throughout him.”


This month, McNally introduced he was closing Fortunate Strike completely on account of “grasping landlord throughout lockdown syndrome.”
