MMA fighter Josh Brueckner is suing a complement firm for terminating a promotion deal as a result of coronavirus pandemic, in accordance with a brand new Manhattan federal lawsuit.
You Can Beam, which sells whey protein and collagen powder, allegedly agreed to pay Brueckner $15,000 a month for six months to plug their merchandise to his 2 million-plus Youtube subscribers and 550,000 Instagram followers.
After inking the deal, the professional middleweight MMA fighter whose nickname is G.I. Josh acquired one $15,000 cost in March.
That very same month, Beam CEO Russell Saks informed Brueckner’s agent that “the settlement was being terminated as a result of the corporate was in extreme monetary misery due to the coronavirus emergency, and the corporate was simply making an attempt to ‘maintain the lights on.’”
Regardless of ending the settlement, Beam allegedly continued to prominently show Brueckner’s {photograph} on their web site, wrote lawyer Jason Solotaroff.
Brueckner is suing for $90,000, alleging breach of contract and civil rights violations.
